Jesmond Health Partnership (17 Osborne Road)

I've been attending this practice since i was a young man but since they have gone into partnership total disaster. i used to get my medication every week. but now there is always something missing so.ive stopt ringing them .I just put up the pain.

I first registered with this Practice in 2003 and the medical care was always excellent. There were the occasional admin errors but nothing significant. However over the last nine months in the lead-up to and aftermath of Holly Medical conjoining with another Practice (The Surgery, in Mar 19)) the admin has become chaotic and error-strewn to the point of compromising my healthcare and obliging me to transfer to another GP. When the two practices combined, many of Holly's former staff left, and even though the partnership must have been some time in the planning, there were still numerous administration errors, many of which have persisted even after five months and been acknowledged by the Practice itself. However good the actual medical care itself may be, when it becomes difficult and time -consuming simply to make an appointment or get through on the phone, when referrals are not processed, when tests are repeatedly cancelled, collectively these factors do affect the overall provision of health care. Now Holly Medical is not accepting any new patients and the NHS information page seems to allude to its current problematic state: Opening Times - unknown; Staff - none named; Services & Clinics - none; Online Services - none. In an era of increasing closure of GP practices, the future for this long-established and once highly-regarded Practice seems gloomy.
