I live almost next to the surgery (you can see the surgery from my back garden) and I've had to change surgeries to the Town Centre.
From their own website (www.westcheltenhammedical.co.uk/opening-hours/) the Springbank site is only open 08:00 - 12:30 Tuesday, 15:00 - 19:30 Wednesday, 08:00 - 12:30 Thursday
Outside these hours you get directed to the other surgery at Hesters Way, however as a wheelchair user, the buses don't directly go down that way, you'd have to take 2 buses to get there so it's actually easier to take the 1 bus to the town centre and see a town centre GP.
I had a PEG feeding tube fitted last month and couldn't get an appointment to see the nurse and I was told on discharge from the hospital I needed to see a nurse *daily*. Ended up just trying to figure it out for ourselves - and ended up with granulation that then had to be treated.
My partner was registered blind, and they expected her to make the extra 1.5 mile journey to the surgery on Hesters Way.
There is a new housing estate that has been built where the old shops used to be, but this surgery isn't open! Absolute waste of time, they might as well just close this surgery and repurpose the building for something useful!
Don't even bother wasting your time. St Paul's medical Centre is much more accessible on the "C" bus route. |
