Recently I had an accident which I thought I could manage myself at home ... Turns out I should have seeked help. I rang the surgery a few days later in the morning when feeling unwell and I was booked in for 2pm. I received a call from a lovely doctor an hour later asking me to come in straight away due to the nature of my injury + symptoms. I was immediately given antibiotics and sent to a&e with a letter explaining suspected cellulitis. I was so thankful for all the help I received. The doc even called a few days later to check me over. I really cannot fault these docs and nurses, the reception staff are also lovely, polite, friendly and discreet Reply from Sandy Health Centre Fri, 06 Sep 2019 10:35:39 +0100 We would like to Thank you for taking the time to add a positive comment to NHS Choices. |

Very difficult to get an appointment. Can never book one in advance and just get told to phone at 8am. Then to top it all off just a text message to say we live outside there catchment area and need to get a new GP surgery even though we have been registered with them for 18 years. |

Getting an appointment here is basically impossible! You call for around an hour for the phone line to be engaged all the time. Or placed in que in position 2 for 30 minutes! To be told all appointments have gone when you get the the rude receptionist on the other side. No consideration for people when speaking to them. The nurses themselves are lovely. However would recommend looking else where for a GP surgery! I am really regretting moving to sandy health centre! Sort it out! |
