I’ve had a persistent, non productive, wet cough for 2 weeks, cause by my allergies. Doctor didn’t ask what medication I’d taken, didn’t ask about the type-4 autoimmune disease I have, didn’t ask me to come in to listen to my chest. All they did was throw antibiotics at it. I have zero signs of infection (no temperature, no yellow phlegm, no fatigue) yet a 7 day course was the “professional” opinion. It took three days, two eConsult forms and me physically having to chase the practice to get a call. I wish I could go to a different practice. This is the second time they have just haphazardly prescribed antibiotics to me and hoped it would work, which it didn’t. This half ass behaviour drives up antibiotic resistant bacteria but what are MRSA really. Quickest way to shut us up and move us along. |

Had an appointment with Dr Jaffa for a mole that had changed. I asked to be referred to have it checked, she refused telling me she could tell if it was benign just by looking at it. I then asked for a hearing test and she went on a rant about how she wasn't going to refer me and waste NHS time if I wasn't going to wear them. When I insisted that I would as I need them for work she reluctantly referred me. I have never had such a bad experience with a Dr. She's extremely rude and has now put me off going back. |

I'm sitting here, in tears while, for the 4th day, I've been passing nothing but chunks of (what look like) pink jelly... The way this doctors surgery has treated me over the years, I'm too scared to even call for an appointment for fear of not being taken seriously. Things have not felt right for months down there. The muscles feel like they've forgotten how to work and the pain in my pelvis and lower back is unreal. I've been putting it off, blaming it on the IBS and fibromyalgia... Any excuse to not go to the doctors and be fobbed off once again. Moments ago, I just registered at a new surgery. I can't believe how this surgery has made me feel over the years and I can't believe I've been such a mug as to not do anything about it till now. |
