How to ruin a good system of experienced qualified health personnel by bean-counting admin centres. Here is a gist of a single incident. I had a fall. My doctor referred me for an X-ray/Scan. Dr referral questioned from above asking for a report and further evidence or request refused. If mine is one case, what incentive has my doctor under constant pressure to prepare reports upwards for his decisions. An X-ray was a blinds man proof. Another silly change. Ring for an appointment with my GP. Told appointments no longer done by a nurse at reception but the Dr has a selection system and he can make an appointment or not without examination. Perhaps. Why have our doctors funded by the public for profession training if they have to take on nursing instead of focusing on doctoring and their decisions to be supported by pen pushing reporting. Why. Recently, things look to change but without much clarity or understanding the patients disposition. A person was assigned after much procedural tail chasing and going round in circles. One has no idea of who the assigned person is or the persons qualifications. Anyway, person assigned seems fine and promising. Has a torch checks my tonsils. Look good. Has statoscope ah a doctor. Checks my chest. Chest ok. Has pressure testing kit. All good. Temperature high. Prescribed with paracetamols to bring temperature down. I am not a regular at the doctors but I can tell I am not Right. My chest feels awful, my throat feels awful, my mouth tastes and smells like a sewer. In a couple of days I am choking unable to breathe. This happens several times. It’s an impossible situation. can see myself die unable to breathe and helpless on my own. I somehow come out of the chokes. I call my daughter. Thank god for our NHS A&E. They are carrying the surgeries instead of having the load lifted off A&E. Dr at A&E seems competent. Identifies two causes which appear to line up to result in chokes which could result into in seconds to a fatal situation and loss of life. Bravo A&E. Let’s not even consider the waste of everyone’s time for whatever reason. I am sure that the situation is more complex but as the receiver of the final product I am afraid the system is failing miserably. Sorry. |

Doesn’t ever seem to be patients there but you cannot get an appointment. Have a problem with my shoulder have to wait a week to be assessed by a physiotherapist who will then decide if I can go for a scan or X-ray or if I’ll be given more exercises to do which don’t work. It’s a disgrace that absolute lack of caring. Will be looking for a new GP practice |

This surgery is an absolute disgrace, never any appointments, econsult ask for a doctor you get a nurse, how can you diagnose without a face to face, I did econsult got a pharmacist phone me, still had to go back to econsult as what he prescribed did not work what a waste of time |
