Castlegate Surgery

I was asked to bring a sample into the hospital today and one into the surgery. On my way to work I dropped in and spoke to the receptionist with blond spiky hair and glasses. I said I have to drop off a sample, and before I had a chance to finish my sentence she said in a very load voice “ no you can’t bring that here it has to go to the hospital” . I tried to show her the doctors note on the front that clearly stated to return to the surgery. Again in a rude condescending voice she said very loudly so everyone could hear “ no it goes to the hospital not here” I then asked her not to be so rude and that maybe she should ask the doctor why he asked me to bring it to the surgery? She said “ he wasn’t in today but it doesn’t come here” I said not to be rude and then in a sarcastic way kept saying “ I’m sorry but it doesn’t come here”. I must say in my 30 years of working with the public I found her manner very rude and condescending. Not the sort of receptionist you want on the front reception of any GP surgery.

5 weeks ago after waiting 40 mins I was hung up on but today the 9th September I have been hanging on so far 1hour 2 minutes I'm still hanging on and I have been no 1 for 41 of those minutes impossible I will not hang up I desperately need to speak to a doctor when I get my phone bill I'll send it to you this is impossible how can a call take so long I realise your very busy but this is unbelievable its now 1hour 5 mins still at no 1

The service at this surgery is terrible. i have had to ring 128 times consecutively just to be placed in the phone queue system. Otherwise the line just keeps saying your busy. I had no end of issues with this surgery from being put on the wrong medication which stopped me from trying to conceive, when the doctor knew i was having issues conceiving, they put me on medication that would activate my womb. After looking at some peer reviewed medical journals for a potential problem i was laughed at and told to stop going to facebook forums for my medical information. On top of that you can never receive a call back from the doctors, i was due for a morning call this morning, and it’s now midday, i rang and was told that there were still 8 people ahead of me to be called. So i have to wait all day while the doctors get their act together. The practice manager has the empathy of a potato and how they’ve not been sued for medical negligence is beyond me. I’ve been struggling with my mental health and really need this call. And to put my entire day on hold for a callback that should’ve happened in the morning is abysmal. I had a job interview today which i’ve had to cancel because it’s a mystery when they’ll ever ring!!
