1. You ring - You are number 10 or 12 in the queue - You wait having to endure the repetitive waffle. After a while, you are finally number one and it rings and rings ....and rings and no answer. 2. System for renewal medication is not fit for purpose. Is there any reason why the date for renewal has to be the date of one last's tablet. Bad enough already when that date is a working day but why put a week end date as surely you must know that there will be no GP to approve it on a non-working day? Ordering with 48 hours is irrelevant as it is obviously not looked at until the date stated in the system. Mentioning any comments is a waste of time as they are obviously not read. I went through Boots for a while. Same problem. Would go back to Boots 2 working days and would hear the same message every single time. Prescription has not been approved by your surgery. They would call, have to wait for ever- See comment 1 above. All accept the fact that you are all busy but guess what others are as well. I have been going to the office during entire lockdown as dedicated member of staff for my department. I am working 10 hours days so have better things to do than chasing for a renewal that surely should be an easy process |

Very hit and miss (depending who you see) and I have had to complain about staff incompetence. One nurse couldn’t take blood after 2 attempts leaving me very bruised. She also forgot to do the right tests. You rarely see the same GP twice and they don’t want to give you face to face appointments. You’re on hold forever and recorded message says surgery is closed when it isn’t. |
