I phoned for a home visit for my Wife and told Doctor will visit - NEVER SHOWED.
Phoned again next day specified Doctor and two causes for home visit, - Para Medic turned up with documents for one of the requested causes not the one that the first visit was requested for.
Have also tried to get one of my Wife's medications put on her repeat medications listings more than once, this for a lifetime condition that needs to be kept under control, guess what?
This surgery is very hard to get in touch with by phone, let alone to be able to see a Doctor, and you cannot book an appointment in advance, contrary to what a previous response to another reviewer was told here. |

We continue to be impressed by High Glades. I like the engage consult when you can send a quick email and you get a call back. Getting through on the phone can be a problem sometimes. The nurses and HCAs are great and any doctor we have had an appointment with has been efficient and helpful. The receptionists are good, I don't envy them their job. The only problems we have experienced were with repeat prescriptions not happening. That has improved with going back to posting the repeat slip in the box with what is required ticked. Getting a non urgent appointment with the doctor of your choice seems to be difficult. Apparently you have to ring up at 8am on the day they are holding surgery. Surely book on the day should be for urgent cases only? You can ring and ask for a telephone conversation which is fine sometimes. Why you can't book an appointment, say for next week, so we can both see the doctor together I don't understand. I am my husbands carer, he has several medical conditions, under 4 different consultants at the hospital and we want to update the doctor and get a holistic approach. If he speaks on the phone he does not always understand everything the doctor says and gets muddled about medication and what incident or appointment happened when, so I need to listen as well and give my version of things. That is difficult on the phone even when on speaker. Not quite sure what to do.
