Not enough full time Gp mainly part time, which is not good for patients wanting to see the doctors they know and who know them. Very hard to see a Gp now, I am not prepared to beg, since COVID and telephone consults Gp now like that idea, not having to see patients face to face, which means a lot of diagnoses are untreated until the patient end up in hospital, I have been working in a busy NHS hospital for 20 odd years and have seen the decline in Surgery and Hospitals, not all due to the decline in wages. |

Your Review: I would like to mention Dr Aija Lace in particular at Blackthorn Medical Centre. I have known this GP for a number of years now and although have only visited a handful of times over the years, Dr Lace is one of the most exceptional and caring GP's I have ever met. She called me today about some blood test results and I asked her a few questions on another unrelated matter afterwards. As always, she listened and guided me. Dr Lace makes me feel I am so very lucky to a) still have her working at Blackthorn Medical Centre and b) know I have her expertise when I am unwell. I have every confidence in her. Sometimes it can take years to find just the right person who has that bedside manner we all yearn for when we may be unwell and yet is also a straight talker. As a result I consider myself very lucky to have found that person in Dr Lace. An amazing lady! Thank you, and long may it continue. |

We have been with blackthorn medical centre GPs previously Tonbridge Rd next door to the chemist since 1968. We are now thinking of moving house but definitely not want to lose our surgery. Please can you let us know how far we can go in order for us to stay with the surgery We've always been extremely happy with our GPs and other professionals and the receptions staffs are so helpful, understanding and nothing is too much trouble. We would rather stay where we are if it would mean losing the surgery. Michelle |
