Grove Green Medical Centre

I have been told by the hospital to have a blood test every two weeks for my condition. After phoning the surgery I was grumpily told by the receptionist said that it was impossible as they were working to a 3 week timetable. I explained that it was imperative that I had this and was told there was nothing I could do! She finally agreed to speak to the manager and came back, with a bad attitude, and said that she’d make an appointment within the time scale and slammed the phone down. Very professional - NOT!!

Complete Shambles. The practice refuse to see you face to face in the first instance despite government guidelines stating practices should see you if this is your preferred choice. Once you have a phone consultation with a time frame between 4 hours (how on earth is that practical while working / commuting) you then have to see the specific doctor you spoke to on the phone in person, not another doctor. How on earth is this acceptable. The whole phone business needs stopping now and face to face appointments returned in a Covid secure way. I feel the whole Covid situation is now being used Purely as an excuse and that sadly lots of things are being misdiagnosed or worse still not being diagnosed with people even being put off even bothering to book an appointment.

Had an apptmnt for 11.50- was 5 min early- checked in- at 12.05 went to receptionist- asked her if everything's ok as i have been waiting - her response - you're next- GG - CS 101- acknowledge and apologise- grrr..... Went back at 12-20/24 ish - stood there while she held phone in hand and spoke to woman in office !? Now why can't people understand that if u ignore someone the problem it wont go away- but wait- another woman came along and she totally ignored me and spoke with other woman- slap in face- thanks receptionist! The Doc - was apologetic and i explained - its not the ‘running late’ thats the prob! Its how its handled! If that receptionist looked up and went - im sorry we are running quite a but behind! Thats absolutely Perfect- what she has done - with this option is respect, recognise and diffused a situation! Come on GG - i know you guys are working hard - but get people who respect themselves and others irregardless of whatever the hell is going on professionally and personally behind the scene.... Dr - Thank you for your patience and understanding ....
