I had an internal examination by Dr Irvine, she made me feel so uncomfortable. I was clean and have excellent hygiene but she looked at me in the most scornful way. She started questioning some scars I have on my legs and made me feel like a leper. This put me off ever having internal examinations again. I also explained to her that i prefer to have any kind of internal or private examinations conducted by a female and she went onto question my preference stating that I should get used to having such an exam by a male and wondering whether I had been previously abused. I was very offended and definitely would not want any kind of service from her again. I think she would have treated me different if she had I had appeared to be white and middle class. | ||||||

I had a really good experience with an appointment about contraception. The nurse was very helpful and I felt that she cares about me. Additionally, because I’m a student she offered me a vaccination and conducted it straight away which I see as a big advantage as I don’t like wasting time to book appointments. The nurse and reception team were very helpful as it was my first time using NHS. | ||||||

I had a blood test here today and am very scared of needles. The man and woman working there were so kind and helped me after when I felt faint. I've always received great customer care at the blood clinic. I would definately recommend this practice. | ||||||
