Having been registered with the surgery for 35 years and fortunately rarely needing a GP appointment other than normal health scans, I was called in for a standard 65 year old check up.
A problem was immediately identified by a nurse. Follow up processes kicked into action with rapid GP appointments. Over the course of a short period, suitable blood tests and medication were arranged.
I have nothing but praise for the whole team at the surgery who couldn't have been more professional and kind. |

I left this surgery as they do not do the Electronic Prescription service for repeat prescriptions. Prescription collection has only recently moved from 10.30 a.m. with two days notice to 9.00 a.m with two days notice. You may not get a person who is qualified to dispense after 5.00 p.m so hard lines if the doctor prescribes after that time and you need immediate collection the doctor is too busy to dispense.
I've just waited for two hours in an x ray department with my partner until it closed.The surgery asked her to attend a walk in x ray dept gave her a list of hospitals with this facility but no referral notes to take. The x ray department waited for the notes to be faxed but it never happened.Who faxes today!
I hope she follows me and leaves this old fashioned badly administered practice. |

All the times I have been sick or collecting my proscriptions the Handley practice have done there upmost to be as helpful and friendly as possible. Most the staff know my name. |
