I have never had an issue getting an appointment and always see my own GP. I nearly always get seen on time. He is thoughtful and listens to my issues and I never feel stupid. I have had several unsolicited calls from my GP to inform me of test results and my wife has had calls just to ask how she was during a difficult time for her. This surgery is by far the best I have ever been signed up to and is a credit to the NHS. The only drawback is the parking arrangements but its a small price to pay for the service. |

People are to quick to jump and complain about the NHS. My experience with the Harcourt Practice has been second to none , having had an initial appointment with a particular Doctor a follow up blood test with the nurse prompted a second visit to se another Doctor, could not ask for better treatment thank you so much. My wife also is about to receive a new hip and her Doctor was also very prompt with relevant referrals, again thank you. I can’t comment on the care as not able to book an urgent or routine appointment. The next race for the raft of upcoming appointments are not in view until after the bank holiday next week. When my child needed an urgent appointment I was not impressed to be told all urgent appointment have gone having waited in a phone queue first thing in the morning ( it’s easier to get tickets for Hamilton) and told to go to the walk in centre which doesn’t open until the evening. Inappropriate to refer to walk in centre out of hours service when you should be providing the services during the day. Other practices at least do telephone triage through the day |
