I have been surprised by the proactive way that my health issues have been handled by the surgery staff and doctors. After my optician reported indications of high blood pressure in my eyes, the surgery contacted me to arrange further tests and prescribe medication.
Since then I have been invited back for further appointments for blood tests and discussions with the doctor, in which I have been given very helpful advice regarding my health.
The reception staff are always helpful in arranging appointments and repeat prescriptions. | ||||||

Unnecessarily rude and unfriendly tone of communicating from the reception staff on multiple occasions. Don’t know if it’s the lack of training in good proper communication but the standards are very poor. As a member of NHS staff myself it is disappointing to see that the first point of contact for GP is faced with staff that have such low professional standards and very little communication and interpersonal skills with the service user. | ||||||

I visited Freshbrook surgery today at 2.30 after receiving a txt asking for my daughter to repeat some stool samples as there had been an error on testing the last samples 2 weeks ago, I explained what had happened and could I have 2 blue top bottles to re-do the test, I was asked for my daughters DOB even though it wasn’t required for sample bottles? On hearing she was 18 I was told there’s nothing she could do as she was 18 and had to come to surgery herself, I queried why I couldn’t just pick up bottles for her and was offering to show the txt that had been sent to me not my daughter. She just kept saying I can’t see her screen so I can’t talk to you about her!! I wasn’t asking to talk about her I just needed sample bottles!!! I left & went straight to Ridge Green and asked the same question, no problem whatsoever ever got 2 sample bottles from the lovely lady and asked why it was an issue at Freshbrook and she said it shouldn’t have been!! Exactly what I thought!! Rude & unhelpful at Freshbrook we all have busy lives and shouldn’t have had to go elsewhere for something as simple as sample bottles!! | ||||||
