I moved into the village and decided to sign up to the local surgery. Firstly, it is not practical for anyone working mon-fri as the doctors and the attached pharmacy shut early and are shut on Saturday.
Secondly, they made a medical judgment on stopping a repeat prescription without having my notes or being aware of my medical history and they did not even know I was under a consultant. It’s been an uphill battle with the CCG since with a decision made by the nhs purely to save them money.
I found certain members of staff lacked compassion, were rude and one even had the audacity to snigger when she suggested I buy the item online at £120 a month.
If you move I advise you to think very very carefully before joining the Buckinghamshire area CCG. Do your research and if you have a clinical condition make sure you can still get your medications on prescription. |

Receptionists are awful. I have had many issues with the rude receptionists over the years I have been registered with this surgery. There is no confidentiality and empathy towards delicate matters, they are completely inappropriate. Asking questions which aren’t relevant or their job. Discussing private matters at the top of their lungs in the reception area for everyone to hear, it’s embarrassing. Making it increasingly difficult to then go back when I may need an appointment for the fear of interrogation. I fear the day a young person may have a delicate issue (teen pregnancy or sti etc) and has been completely scarred by the receptionists to return. |
