Hello my name is ernest diprose and earlier today I had reason to phone callington health centre regarding a health problem I was told I would be given a telephone appointment with a doctor from Gunnislake health centre later that morning, and as promised a doctor called me, I would like to say it was a pleasure to talk to her she listened while I explained my problem and also at the same time put me at ease.and handled my problem with compassion and understanding, I want to say people are quick to complain about the NHS but when you get treated like I did I feel I need to pass comment on the excellent service I received today I have to say the manner in which I was spoken to could not have been bettered, when you are under the weather you just want help to make you feel better well I got the help I needed and in a way that deserves a mention a grateful patient | ||||||

I attended a six monthly Diabetic Appointment recently with the practice nurse , i do not want to go into detail but would like to say that the treatment i received was first class, the nurse in question could not do enough for me and i left feeling very pleased. Thank you very much Gunnislake health centre. | ||||||

I have attended Gunnislake surgery for about 14 years and always had excellent service.
All staff are friendly, courteous and utterly professional, giving me total confidence in the NHS.
The receptionists despite having a constant stream of customers remain calm, welcoming and helpful. The waiting area is light, airy and calm, with an excellent toddler play area.
The nurses are superb. Always working fast yet remaining attentive, warm and reassuring.
The Doctors are incredibly professional. We are all aware of the ludicrous time pressure they are under yet I have always been made to feel like I am absolutely the center of their attention in the time that I am with them. They have SO much to do, I really don't know how they cope. I am really grateful for their time and advice.
The telephone answering system is like something out of the 90's, mechanical sounding messages and sometimes just cutting off.
The Tamar Valley Health website looks like something from the 80's. Cluttered, confusing, links that don't work, utterly unintuitive menus, frankly a bit of a nightmare. I have fed back on this several times in the last couple of years with no feedback.
Great that it gives easy access to the CQC latest report.
Excellent pharmacy on site with highly knowledgeable and friendly staff. | ||||||
