We moved to Penryn in March 2018 from Truro, and the obvious choice for a new GP might have been more local, but there was such good recommendation for Trescobeas, we chose to register there and both husband and I are very pleased we did. All the staff, without exception are approachable, pleasant and professional. The service is exemplary, with a simple and effective system of appointments: ring on the day from 8am for an urgent app't, speak with a GP later in the day, they then make a physical app't if necessary. It is also possible to book ahead for a telephone app't with a chosen doctor (no idea what a previous reviewer was on about!) which is great for less urgent problems or routine discussions. Test results are back quickly - even here in Cornwall! - And by aiming to keep a patient with the same doctor for one complaint, or chronic problems, continuity is great. The only reason not to recommend Trescobeas is that I wouldn't want them to be overrun with new patients! | ||||||

I was sent to the surgery by the Minor Injury Unit next door after they had assessmed my asthma problem as requiring medical attention. The doctor was excellent with a good understanding of the problem and he identified a likely lung infection that had missed my consultant when I was discharged from my local hospital. I received the medication I needed to see me through till I visit my own GP next week.Very pleased. Thanks to the NHS. Also great to have a pharmacy next door as we were on foot and not familiar with local bus routes. | ||||||

An urgent referral I needed for an ongoing painful knee problem, was forgotten by my doctor. After waiting 13 weeks to hear about an appointment with the consultant, I contacted his secretary direct, who informed me they hadn't received it!
I had been very patient, well aware the NHS is experiencing problems but I wouldn't have discovered the referral hadn't been made had I not chased it up. Now I'm back to the bottom of the queue, still in pain, and hardly an apology from the surgery.
This is appalling treatment. | ||||||
