The Mannamead Surgery

I tried to get my wife an appointment for a problem with her left eye. As I couldn't get through on the phone I tried using the eConsult service. I worked my way through the very detailed form and she received a reply stating she would be contacted in the next 10 days! We then got a notification from the Mayflower Medical Group promoting their PUSH DOCTOR service where you can talk to a Doctor on the phone or via a video link 8am until 8pm. Brilliant idea so I used the link provided to access the service and answer a load of questions about my wife's problem. It then stated i needed a PIN number to continue and I had to contact my surgery to obtain it!! When I phoned the Mannamead Surgery I was informed by a recorded message that if I required a PUSH DOCTOR PIN number I would have to complete an eCONSULT! Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Absolutely terrible service!!

I have been a registered patient at this surgery for over 25 years and myself and my family always received exceptional medical care and attention from The Mannamead surgery. Very sadly, I no longer have a ‘nominated’ GP and I have become totally lost and very confused. I have not seen or spoken to the same GP in months and although they have all sounded dedicated and knowledgeable over the phone, except for one who sounded angry and unsurprisingly stressed, the advice has not been consistent. I have registered elsewhere and am hoping, for those of us who cannot afford to go private, that the situation resolves itself and we can get back to at least having a nominated GP.

Since Mayflower took over, the practice is impenetrable. The repeat prescription I was given by my previous doctor has been invalidated. I have answer ridiculous questions on e-consult to get a basic medication. Could anyone recommend a better practice in the area?
