Whilst people are friendly getting an appointment is often 1 to 2 days away and you have to re ring so no guarantee. If in pain I cannot see the doctor to sort out so what to I do? Going to bother A&E does not seem right and not what it is meant for. Developing a longer term strategy to my ailment also seems to be very slow. Reply from Lynton Health Centre Mon, 22 Jul 2019 09:49:51 +0100 We aim to provide a variety of appointments including online booking; pre-bookable appointments with your own GP; as well as triage for acute situations. You can book ahead for a date that suits you or phone on the day your GP is working, our lines are open from 8am. We believe the safest way to manage our patient list is to provide personalised lists so that your GP gets to know you well and is therefore able to understand your particular situation. Not all our GP's work everyday therefore you might need to wait 1 or 2 days for a routine appointment with your GP as that is when they are working. Anyone with an acute situation - who feels they cannot wait to see their own GP is advised to phone up as early as possible and they will be offered a contact with a GP - this will either be an appointment or a telephone call. With regards to your final comment perhaps this is something you would like to discuss with your GP who I am sure will be able to offer an explanation. |

I had been discharged from NDDH after poor care and practice to my home. My care from the doctor and all staff ,following surgery, sepsis, a ruptured abscess and wound care ,was second to none.
All the practice nurses and HCA's were so compassionate, with amazing wound knowledge and care that resulted in my speedy recovery.
I will never forget the kindness that was shown to me and my family at such horrendous time.
The reception staff were lovely and professional who deserve thanks all.
A gem of practice. |

When we arrived nearly 4 years ago excellent, could not fault but all seems to have fallen apart, receptionists make judgements. |
