My wife and I have only been with this practice for about 5 years, but we have always been impressed by the service we have received. Telephone calls are answered politely and helpfully, and appointments made easily. The reception staff have always been cheerful and welcoming, and take their time to listen. They never rush or make you feel unwelcome even if the surgery is very busy.
The nursing staff are well trained and well informed, again always cheerful and make you feel at ease in what are sometimes stressful/worrying situations.
A particular doctor is the only GP we have had appointments with and he has been welcoming, very well informed and re-assuring. We both trust his opinion.
We have had call-backs from other GPs when required: these have been prompt and the advice given has been entirely appropriate.
Overall, a very good service and the whole environment is welcoming and re-assuring, and also professionally very competent. | ||||||

I have been with the surgery for 12 years, not only was there palliative care for my mother fantastic but I recently found my self on the point of passing out whilst waiting for my appointment, I was so very well looked after by all members of staff on all levels, please know that while I was being helped there was also a 999 situation going on else where in the surgery, again the staff kept everyone informed about appointments now running a little late and everyone in the waiting room was very understanding. Yes there maybe times when you can not get the GP you want that day but if you ask for a call back from that GP providing they are in that day they will call you back. Like I said in my opening statement my mother required palliative care while she died of cancer, her GP was awful and very unhelpful so I called the practise manager to this surgery and the help and support was over whelming, my mother was never going to win her battle but the she was listened to and respected which is all we asked for. My two children now teenagers have grown up with the same GP and it has given them a confidence that if there is a problem someone will listen and do there best to help. If you find your self frustrated when you call sit back and think "I am ill was I being rude" the receptionist will help you if you are polite and curtsie after all is that now how we all want to be treated. So in short this is a good practice with a very supporting community. | ||||||
