Time to get though on the phone for an appointment is appalling. The reception staff do their best. Time to see a Dr. Is much longer than it should be and on web page it says “ accepting new patients “ a joke |

I have been fortunate enough, together with all members of my family, to be in the care of YORKLEIGH surgery in Cheltenham
Since 1965 !!!!! New Doctors have come along over the years upholding the excellent high standard of our surgery, notably the best in Cheltenham I and many others believe!
The continuity of care, kindness and professionalism never changes from the Doctors, nurses and support staff and our confidence in them never wavers! Having recently had major surgery I have felt confident that my ongoing healing/recovery will be helped enormously by knowing that my doctor is there after initial contact with the reception team, especially one lady who is reliable and helpful whilst also kind and considerate even on days, most in fact, when the practice is extra busy. I had the pleasure of speaking to the new pharmacist at our surgery just yesterday, who, despite not knowing me, dealt with my query/request so efficiently that I feel blessed to be a patient, together with my family, at YORKLEIGH SURGERY!
With the continual struggles and strifes of the nhs we are indeed fortunate, thank you all JANE Leung et al |

We've met with exemplary, dedicated care from every single staff member here, right from the start. If they feel that referrals need to be made out of area, they do it, no qualms about the additional cost to the practice. When my son, who is Aspergers, needed hard-to-secure appointments with local services, his GP got on the phone and advocated for them - and one of the clinicians he's seen from that personal effort has established serious, and previously overlooked, issues, and the advice that we now have has improved all aspects of his life. When I walked in with a skin change in my breast, my own GP swung into action and made an emergency cancer referral. The care and thought she put into ensuring that she got me seen within two weeks, and not the several months of a non-urgent referral, has notably increased my odds of survival. They're also excellent with mundane, simple things such as vaccinations, ear infections, and the endless other minor health problems you get with young children. This practice isn't the most glam in terms of appearance; the lovely old house it's located in is a little worn. But the dedicated, professional and absolutely competent care they provide is excellent. You really could not ask for better. The entire admin team are also great, and extremely efficient and dedicated. The reception staff are wonderful; we've been signposted to pharmacists or the nurses before when calling for an appointment, but also told that we need an emergency doctor's slot when only calling to ask for a phone chat with a nurse. Their skill in negotiating that is why we've always had a swift appointment when we need one, because they don't waste them when we don't. |
