This is just a quick advice to everyone registered with Horsefair practice to check their Covid vaccinations online as they are not recorded properly! !!! Spent my past 2 days in between the clinic and phone just to sort out my medical record. Apparently I have 2 nhs numbers and each has one dose of the vaccine. Till now Horsefair failed to fix their mistake and it doesn’t seem like is going to happen soon! So please check your Covid passport and see if it was recorded! Absolutely appalling service, needless to say that I’m moving practice! | ||||||

After feeling out of breath and light headed after a short jog on the 12th June, I made an appointment with the surgery to see my usual doctor the following day, the 13th June. After examination of my symptoms, and taking into consideration that I had suffered from a post-operative DVT 8 years+ before, the doctor recommended that I should go to A&E at the County Hospital as soon as I could to rule out the possibility of a PE. I went to the hospital a an hour or so later, and after a blood test and CT scan, I was diagnosed with a bilateral pulmonary embolism that evening! I was subsequently admitted and treated and monitored for 48hrs before being discharged with ongoing medication. If it hadn't been for the Doctor's insistence that I get it checked out as a matter of urgency, who knows what might have had happened. I have returned to the surgery since to see the Doctor and personally thanked him! In my opinion, it was fantastic service and care, and this has always been my experience when attending this surgery. I can't praise the health professionals enough at the surgery, and I hope they continue to provide such an amazing service :) | ||||||
