I would like to make it known of the polite manner in which my phone call was dealt with by the receptionist this morning. A lot could be learnt by their attitude, friendliness and mannerisms towards patients. A big thank you for making my phone call easy. Definitely a quality which is rarely known in today's society. Thank you! |

I am pregnant and the doctor confirmed they would do a referall. 2 montgs later I find out this has not been done. They also said it would arrive in the post, which I never got. I had to have my midwife chase them up to get something done. Im now 14 weeks pregnant and still have not had my first scan. They dont care or listen to me when I go for an appointment and act as if they dont want to be there themselves. It is the worse gp ive ever had. I only joined them as they were close to my new home. I would advise anybody looking for a gp not to pick them unless you want a gp that doesnt care and makes your situation worse. |

As one of the closest GP surgery around, i decided to join them when i moved into Kingsnorton a couple of years back. The first thing that got me worried is the appointment mistakes made by some of the reception staff. There is a nearby pharmacy to collect medication from, it appears there is also no communication as to when repeat prescriptions are to be stopped when a patient stops taking certain medication or worse still. I found this out when I was called in twice by the pharmacy to collect medication that i was no longer on. Apart from that, although it is usually easy to see the GP, you might as well not really go especially when a particular GP is on duty, because they do not explain things clearly, and does not appear aware of progress, changes or how systems are run by their nurse, (only one nurse available on certain days) thus, many flows and mistakes are made through missed medication, or equipment which mostly does appear broken. I am more worried about my health checks, or treatment as i am not sure whether I will be given the right treatment. Because of the setting geographically, I wonder how the most vulnerable are doing since we are in a community where things appear less involved apart from kind food banks and church support. As a GP Surgery, we expect at least some form of humanity, professionalism and patient care as this is the agenda for community based settings like the Hillmeads one. Please, can someone check this out? |
