I have been going to the Guardian Street Medical Centre for many years and during that time i have been well treated,The Doctors there are excellent,The nurses are excellent and these of course would not be able to function without the office staff who work wonders keeping everything up to date,Modern technology has arrived and you get e-mail and text messages to keep you the patient up to date with appointments, The website is amazing you can book Appointments or re-order medication and well as lots of other things. You can ask for a Doctor to call you back if you need to speak with them or get advice from any of the Nurse/Practitioners.Everyone working at this Practice deservers the highest praise because they work as a TEAM. Thank you for looking after my health.Well done to all of you. |

I posted a pretty bleak report a few years back, which now seems to be deleted. But things have greatly improved.
Then: I could NEVER get an appointment
Now: the new phone queuing system is very good. You get a robot saying you will be put in a queue and then get a call back just as you are arriving at the top of the queue. This has now worked well, twice.
Just don't move away from your phone all morning. ; - )
(I got a callback at about 10.15am)
You still don't get a big choice of time slots, but at least you know where you're up to.
My last appointment was classed as an emergency, so I got in same day at 10am.
Follow-up appointment was made for 10 days later, while I was in with the doctor on the first appointment, and it was with the same doctor again - always good for continuity of care.
Also, the website now seems more user-friendly and more 'open' e.g. viewing past medications and appointments, changing pharmacists, requesting to see more detailed records. (Not heard back on that one, yet.)
So... a big improvement. Less stress, with subsequent longer life. ; - ) |
