the doctor has always been there for my son giving him first class care. Has been so helpful in every way and I don't know how we would have coped over the last 6 months without all of his help. |

I have tried to book an appointment today with my GP (who I like and trust) and was firstly told the next appointment would be the 25th I asked about pre-booking to be told it is 2nd May but she cannot open that as it is too far away - today is 3rd April. Whilst I was working out whether I wanted to see someone else she said 'ok then ' and went to go. I said hang on a minute if I phone at 8.30am tomorrow (by the time the call is answered it will be more like 8.45am) would I be able to pre-book her response was if there were slots left that day I could have it but for 2nd May no as it was too soon to open that up. I find myself now wondering about changing my GP I like my GP, she listens and I have a good rapport with her but short of booking lots of appointments I do not need to see her I do not know what to do. I did ask about a phone appointment to be told that was for emergency medical advice and if I needed that I should make an appointment - I cannot win. I am sure what I need will be able to be sorted out over the phone with my doctor, but it looks like I either try and make the pre bookable one for May assuming I do not miss this deadline, or I go to see another GP who does not know my situation/history or change surgeries altogether. it is a real shame as my family have been with these over 40 years |
