It’s such a shame that the service here has declined. The appointments system operates so that the surgery can meet targets - targets based on how fast they see you from call to appointment, not on whether you can actually get an appointment at all. After days of trying I was referred to Bath St where I didn’t understand the doctor’s thick accent and they referred me for tests I’d already had - she didn’t understand me either. I am now over £2,000 into private care which I am self funding. My wife also now needs an appointment & we are wondering what the point is of calling at 8am? You can’t get through & they won’t let you see a doctor when you do. After asking around it’s time to move surgeries - there are friends registered elsewhere who have no issues. My son says that his problem is with trying to fit their appointment system around work if he ever gets one - unless you work close by and can leave work & go back again that very same day, and don’t have work commitments to fulfil, then you really are stuck. It’s like a ghost town when you do go in - just one unhappy soul on reception and an empty waiting room. A sad decline. Time for a change. There are much much better surgeries around. |
