I was not at this doctor's long, maybe four months. I had a variety of odd symptoms that were getting worse. I informed them as everyone else that I had been bitten by a tick some years previously. Despite the white blood count bring slightly higher these doctors as others before and after failed to take me seriously. I left this surgery. A year later it cost me a lot of money to go and get privately tested at an English lab for tick related diseases. I was horrified to find I had four tick related diseases. The NHS including this surgery had left me walking around sick and poorly treated. Think it's time for better training. |

I have been diagnosed with ongoing health issues including spinal damage and associated pain. I have other issues too, and these are also long-term. Had tests done recently and have been trying to get hold of the doctors to discuss the results. I have also been experiencing issues with pain, nausea and fatigue. I have phoned them several times to get an appointment. They will tell me to phone them at 8am and I'll do this only to end up in a massive queue. I have tried to contact them this morning. Phoned on the dot at 8am but got engaged tone. Tried ringing again at a minute past and left in a queue. I was number 7. Then waited over 20 minutes to talk to the receptionist who was rude and unprofessional. She sounded a bit like she was desperate to get people off the phone as fast as possible. She was dismissive and condescending. I explained my situation clearly and she said that there was no appointment for today. I will have to wait and call again tomorrow morning. What is going on with the appointment system? This is not the first time I have been waiting for days for one. You can phone at 8 for days, sit in queues and get no appointment. Where are all the doctors? Why can you not get an appointment when you need to? I might as well ring NHS 111. The reception at this surgery really needs to be trained better and needs sorting out. The receptionists let this surgery down badly. If you can get to see the doctor then this is fine. However the 2 main doctors are never available. You may just have to see whoever is. I have been with this surgery for years and have watched the service decline. I would advise people to avoid it. I will probably be changing my doctor very soon! |

I had no trouble making an appointment at this surgery and they could'nt have been more helpful. From the receptionist who was very pleasant ,I saw Dr Greiss and my consultation was'nt rushed and he explained everything to me. I also saw the nurse Daniella who was lovely and she said she would give me a call regarding my condition. I received the phone call from the Doctor nit long after I left the surgery. I could'nt find any fault with Layton Surgery, keep up the good work. |
