i rang this afternoon to the surgery for an appointment. call has been answered by Megan (found out after from 2nd time call) i have requested an appointment as per doctor's advice, (once the blood reports and ultra sound test report and urine test report arrive)i should book urgent in person appointment as currently having issues with kidney functionality and previously i had history of kidney problem and was under supervision of a consultant. also i had a bariatric surgery. however, receptionist refused offer me an appointment. instead she offered me appointment for telephone consultation after 3 weeks. doctor will call me between 9am-5pm any time.i have explained the urgency of this appointment 3 times. i have requested face to face appointment for the same date. she has refused. therefore, i have requested if i can speak to a surgery manager. she replied manager is not available and asked me if i want the appointment or not! again i have requested her to check if the manager is available to speak to me because she has failed to understand the fact how urgent i need the appointment. while i was requesting for a manager, she hang up the phone on me. i have called again. requested to speak to a manager also asked for the previous persons name. she hesitated to give me the name. i did go to the surgery with a hope to speak tot the manager Debby. unfortunately she was not available either. one lady told me, manager can't see me. she has got important things to do. she can't talk to every patient. which means like me, probably many other patients also wanted to speak to the manager. i have repeatedly requested, i don't mind to wait to see manger even it is 1 hours or 2 hours to wait. finally another lady agreed to ask the manager. after 10 minutes wait, i have been told manager is busy in a meeting and it may take 3 to 4 hours. i wonder, how the manager can be busy in a meeting for 3-4 hours while surgery rating is 1.7 and got 100s of complaints from patients. my question who gives the authorization a receptionist to decide who can have an appointment and who shouldn't. they are no qualified to do so! Who give right to a receptionist to hang up to phone while i was talking (i was not rude. i was polite and very respectful) all patient the reviews on google also gives the reflection of what i am saying. i do not wish to change my GP. i believe this is not a solution. i believe everyone should be treated equally. Gp practice is not free. we as tax payer contribute to NHS through tax and national insurance. it is our right to get treatment what we really need |

The doctor I eventually saw at this practice was excellent and recommended several areas of further inspection, thankfully neither of which showed up anything untoward, however his manner and care was excellent. That is unfortunately where everything good ends as actually getting to see the GP took literally months and included a self funded visit to a private GP who advised this practice I needed to see my family doctor. Join the phone queue nightmare, same for everything here. My GP has texted to say he wants to see me regarding a report from a consultant but can I get a meeting arranged....absolute joke of a surgery. And a real shame as the GPs seem excellent, however my mind is made up and I`m off elsewhere. |

Called in to make an appointment as asked to do from a text message from the Doctor no chance it is a ridiculous system when you can't get an appointment for my brother who has learning difficulties and autism. Eventually the receptionist managed to get an over the phone appointment not good enough. 14/11/2022. |
