First of all can i say that the receptionists in the city road surgery are absolutely lovely. However, i am having to leave this doctor as they never manage to sort out my repeat prescription without going back and forth several times. This latest time i have been expected to cycle round various pharamacies to find an alternative to my current prescription. Still not got it and have run out. I am tthen asked what strength i require!!! shouldn't the doctor know what strength i require? Otherwise i would just write my own scripts! This is despite going in a fortnight before i have run out. There are 2 surgeries in this practice and it is pretty much pot luck which one you're prescription will be at. I am relatively young and fit but for an elderly patient this would be impossible |

I registered around a month ago having recently moved to the area. I provided proof of ID which was photocopied. I was on a repeat prescription and so requested this after the week had gone by for them to set me up on the system. Begrudgingly they authorised this but only gave me half of what i usually have, £9 for 14 pills!!! I received a text saying i need a medication review, fair enough. I rang straight away and booked for their first available appointment, 4th June! So my pills would run out well before then! After making the appointment i received a call whilst at work to ask me to ring back. I did and was informed im a inactive patient because they were goong off my old address! Did i mention id provided proof of address?! Yesterday i requested some more tablets as i am about to run out. I received a text from them after they closed saying i need to book a medication review before they will give me anymore more tablets?! I now cant ring them until tomorrow and it is unlikely i will get my tablets when i need them because they clearly dont have a damn clue what theyre doing!!! |
