Been trying to get appointments since covid with Dr perkins as my medication doesn't work and more but nothing even though they he will send me appointments to have blood taken but refuses to ring me when his own nurse has advised him due to me being suicidal I'm at the point now where I'm planning ways to kill myself cause nobody at the NHS cares about mental health issues |

First of all, I'd like to mention the staff who work with my Dr - two members of staff and all of the reception desk staff are friendly and approachable. They treat everyone with respect and warmth, making what can sometimes be a daunting visit easier.
The Dr himself is amazing. He is friendly and understanding, he listens and is willing to do everything he can to get to the bottom of any medical issue. |

(Fri 29th Dec) Phoned the doctor's reception to ask for home visit for my 81 year Dad. A lovely receptionist dealt with my call politely and efficiently and explained Dr would call us back in a few minutes which he did. He also explained that his locum team would visit Dad at the end of surgery approx lunch time.
Later in the evening the receptionist called me to apologise on behalf of the DR as the locum team had failed to make the visit to my Dad. The doctor would instead be coming after surgery approx. 7pm which he did.
I would like to thank the whole team first for being available over the Christmas period, for their kind and efficient attention. I would especially like to thank the doctor for offering his own time to complete what his locum/home visit team failed to do. Whilst he gave some of his personal time to my family he also gave us a great deal of reassurance, especially to our Mum who had become concerned for Dad. Thank you to the doctor. You helped to make the rest of the Christmas/new year more enjoyable for all the family. Myself Mum and Dad and all the family would like wish the doctor and all his team a very happy new year and thank for the excellent service you continue to offer.
I would be happy to offer feedback regarding the failed visit if this would help the practise?
Kindest regards

We were all very disappointed by the Visiting Service's failure to visit your father and understand the worry this must have caused your mother and the family. We have discussed the issue in the practice and with the Visiting Service. Thank you for taking the time to add your comments on NHS Choices. Helen Peel, Practice Manager. |
