The Leeds Road Practice

I have been a patient in this practice for over 50 years, I am now 90 years of age and owe a r-great deal of thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, Reception Staff and all those behind the scenes', When I first joined the practice things were very basic, and as years go on, I find that doctors have become more approachable, and we the patient are encouraged to take part in the desition making about are own health. I do think it would be better if we could , in case of emergency, contact our own practice on a week-end, although I do see the difficulties in this. My wife who attended the same practice at 51a Leeds Rd had Parkinson's for 15 years and the last 6 of them before she Past away she had Dementia, I can't speak to highly of the care that we had from different branches of the practice, particularly from one Dr, when my wife died, I shall never forget the compassion he showed to me on that day. yours sincerely J C Stott .

After reading two letters of complaint on your comments page I would very much like to give my long standing, account of my wife and my self experience at Leeds road Surgery. We have been patients for almost 50 years, in all that time we have been treated with respect kindness and professionalism I have had various problems throughout the years, both physical mental, and I owe a deep sense of gratitude to everyone at the Surgery for the kindness shown to me at a time when I was deeply distressed. My wife also suffered from Parkinson’s for quite a number of years finishing up with dememtia. Once again we were supported with love and Kindness from everyone at the surgery. When my wife died her particular doctor was there and offered me as much support as i might need in the future, and showed me a great deal of sympathy at the time. I have also found the practice manager very approachable if you have a problem. So to the Doctors and all the staff, past & present a great big thank you to you all. From octogenarian john
