Unfortunately, I have not had a good experience with this Surgery. With the odd exception, I have foung the medical reception staff to be sharp and abrupt in their attitude. When you question something, you are branded as being aggressive. Having worked in Healthcare for over 30 years, I'm appalled by the lack of interpersonal skills and a good understanding of it's Patients needs. I cannot fault the excellent standard of the Nursing staff who have always been sympathetic and professional at all times. They really are a credit to this practice. The GP responsable for my care ,I can only describe as weak and non-committal. In fact on one occasion he mis-treated me according to Asthma UK. This practice seriously needs to address the problem of the Medical reception staff's attitude toit's Patients. Clearly there is a need for further staff training in this area.

Since moving to the area 18 months ago have made a number of visits to the surgery.Have always been able to make an appointment when required and receive courteous attention from reception staff. Medical advice is excellent with everything clearly explained. Probably the main advantage of moving to this area was being able to become a patient at this surgery!!

I migrated to UK last November an am living in Horndean. This afternoon around 3:30 pm, my family went to Cowplain Surgery to register with NHS. The person in the reception was very rude saying we were not living in their catchment area and refused our registration. The receptionist also said they were not taking any new patients in contrast to what they said in their website. We are born Chinese British Citizen. Their manner did not show any respect at all . Then we went to Cowplain Family Practice just across the street, the person in the reception was very friendly and helpful. They gave me application forms to be completed and also explained how and when I should return the forms. Why are there so much difference in treatment on two NHS sites which are just across the street?
