Take a look on the shiny,glossy GTD healthcare website. If you were new to the Moston area and looking to register with a GP practice you might look at Simpson and think to yourself 'Wow, this place looks fantastic !' There is even a Care Quality Commission report for you to read and admire and proudly displays a GOOD rating. The problem with that report,however, is that it's actually 6 years old and was conducted in June 2015. Since then, I can assure any potential new patient that the service here is embarrassingly poor. I could bore you with the all the usual details about a woeful appointment system, the total lack of empathy from reception staff, a complete abscence of any joined-up thinking and a repeat prescription procedure that is not fit for purpose. I could do all that but I would simply be repeating 90% of the reviews that have gone before and expect to receive all the usual soundbite replies from whoever's turn it is to be practice manager this month (seriously, I have never seen such a high turnover in any role in my entire working life) If you are looking to register with a GP in the Moston area, speak to local people and ask them about Simpson ...it's reputation precedes it. This practice has been in sharp decline pre-pandemic and whilst I have every sympathy with the strain on the NHS and GP services in general, I strongly believe a major service review is well overdue here. | ||||||

Your next appointment is Monday the 14th, I asked to confirm next Monday? she replied, whatever that is. I said can I change the appointment for late in afternoon? She angry replied: well you should have told me that you don’t want the Monday one then.
What kind of receptionist is her? Is she working to help people in need or just to make her living? This is not the first time receptionists are being rude to us. Most of the time they show a negative attitude towards us, they body language they’d response are just so cold no compassion to people. The lady at reception responds like she giving us a favor. This is very sad to experience such a lack of empathy to us. | ||||||
