    I came to the surgery the other day and was shocked by the attitude of one of your reception staff. The lady in question just looked up at me didn’t say “ hello good morning” or anything to that nature This is not the first time. I asked her a question and she didn't even speak apart from “ what’s the name?” . I asked her to repeat something and she just looked at the computer and said “ like I have just told you “I went away feeling very upset. Please can you remind your staff that patients come to the surgery usually ill or for a family or friend who’s ill and may not be 100% with it like I was. The reception staff need to understand this. Reception staff are usually the first contact that patients come into and this is not the way I would ever want to be treated again. I am making notes on when I come in times dates etc and will be taking this further if things don’t improve to the NHS. I don’t feel I can come forward to your selves as it looks like I’m not the only person who feels like this looking at the reviews so nothing has changed. Doctors are great a little rushed sometimes but on the whole good.

    Dear Patient We are extremely disappointed to hear that you found our receptionist rude during a recent visit to the surgery. As a practice we do not condone this and agree with you entirely that our receptionist should be polite, understanding and welcoming to all our visitors. Sadly it is very difficult to address any individual training needs when we are not given sufficient information to act on. It is always better that you contact the practice in the first instance rather than given an anonymous negative review as this allows us the chance to act on your concerns and improve the service for everyone. If you have dates and times of your visits or know the names of any staff members concerned, please contact us and share the information which will allow us to speak to the individual and ensure they are supported to improve and understand our expectations. We are pleased you find our GP's "great" and apologise again that our receptionist did not greet you appropriately on your last visit.

    Was deeply disappointed and upset by a gp at my recent appointment. I had returned for further help due to an ongoing problem and hoped I'd find reassurance / reason for the issues I had. I felt dismissed as a time waster or hypochondriac and left no wiser about my symptoms. Needless to say I won't be seeing that gp again and it has upset me greatly. It has shocked me as I'm the least likely person to make a fuss, seek help or comment negatively. I can only say good things about the surgery but I am very saddened by my experience with this other gp. If a patient returns saying they still feel ill the last thing they need is to be made to feel a nuisance.
