After being with this practice for a number of years the care and communication has steadily decreased. Accepting the demands of Covid I have exercised patience and consideration but getting an appointment with a doctor is very difficult, usually degraded to a phone appointment which is the made by a nurse. I feel completely without doctor protection and for the first time in my long life feel completely without doctor protection. Any avoidance of problems is utterly defunct and it is extremely difficult to get help with actual conditions. Their telephone recorded message explaining their No abuse policy says it all. I really worry about the future of this practice and strongly believe it should be broken up. |

Tried numerous times to make an appointment via the telephone system. Was on hold for 45 minutes to be then told a doctor would call back within the 2 hours.
The doctor called within 5 mins but unfortunately I missed the call, only for them to leave a message saying a slot was available for me to attend at 10:30. If not convenient, which it wasn’t, then I was told to call reception again. So another 30 min in a queue waiting to speak to a receptionist.
This is not the level of service I wish to receive. The quality of service has significantly reduced since the lakeside merge. |

i had two emergency appointments in late July, within 3 days, with two different doctors that I did not know, neither of them satisfactory apps, and the day after the second one was rushed into hospital for an op.
This was the reason i had gone to the doctors in the first place and I don't feel it was handled properly as I ended up in hospital. 3 weeks later, as advised by the hospital, tried to get a follow up appointment, could not get one. Have now had a scan at the hospital, follow up appointment again( within two weeks as advised by Hospital) rang this morning to try and organise that and guess what? I cant get an appointment till the 13th October.
Since the surgeries have merged the wait time is disgusting. I cant knock the reception team or my own doctor as they do a great job but the system is appalling and the most people like myself want to see a doctor who knows them and their history.
Waiting a month for an appointment is unacceptable! |
