I moved to Bull Farm surgery a couple of years ago. It is the best thing I have ever done. During this time I have seen both gp's and the practice nurse. I was treated with kindness, listened to and wasn't made to feel rushed at any appointment. All treatment options were fully discussed before I made any decisions on medication and hospital referrals. I fully recommend this practice to everyone. In general I really struggle to get appointments. Bad system of having to ring up at 8am, it takes a long time to get through and when I do the staff aren’t particularly pleasant and I can’t get an appointment. (However if they ring me for any reason they do tend to be a little more pleasant on the phone).
One example of the poor service is when I developed a nerve problem in my face and needed it checking urgently. They wouldn’t give me an appointment so I ended up going to Primary Care 24 and the nurse there rang Bull Farm to make me an urgent same day appointment and they still refused and said the best they could do was an appointment at the end of the following week. The nurse was horrified at the service and suggested I change GP surgery because the emergency care was non existent. In the end she had to contact another hospital and speak to a consultant there for advice in this circumstance and I ended up being admitted. It was an awful experience and although I was never happy with this surgery, it really showed me how little they care and I feel very uncomfortable and alone when it comes to any health complaints because I don’t trust them to give me proper care. I have lost all faith in the staff and the doctors at this surgery. | ||||||

shocking service since taken over in the autumn, apparently covid is to blame, which is a convenient excuse for providing p**s poor performance.............when you actually finally (if your lucky) get through to a doctor, then its as good as you could expect...........whether you can get past the telephone software and the receptionist and the moronic practice rules is another matter altogether.............good luck and I hope the standard of service doesnt cost anybody their life !!! | ||||||
