Hello, I had a 10am appointment today for a blood pressure check which I have been having at intervals due to the troubles I have been experiencing for a long while now. I checked in and there were 3 patients in the surgery each were called and I thought I would be next however that was not to be. At least l2 other people came in and was called for within 10 minutes or even 5 for the nurses I was so upset why I was still waiting I asked the receptionist and was told I was next another 10 minutes went by and still I sat there, I was getting very worried because I had left my disabled husband that cannot move or do nothing for himself and I didnt expect being so long, I explained this to the receptionist again and she said the nurse was ringing me next so I asked why she had not called me and was told that she must be doing paper work, I was furious doing paper work and I had been waiting 40mins. for a blood pressure test that would take 5mins tops. I could not take the waiting any longer so I walked out and came home and if that is the NHS showing care well I very strongly disagree. When I got home and calmed down I took my own blood pressure and it was 180/93 second time 180/90 heart rate 83/85. | ||||||

Absolute JOKE of a surgery ! 1hr 10 mins in queue and the line just cuts off. Nobody in this place cares about answering the phone absolutely pathetic service. Needs shutting down | ||||||

This is a reasonable good medical centre and like so many, it is overstretched. Getting an appointment when you need one can be difficult, they have just changed the system for this so hopefully, it will get better.
The reception staff are usually polite and help in whatever way they can.
My only gripe with the practice is the number of people who don't turn up for their appointment, which could have then been given to someone else. | ||||||
