I have been going to this surgery for the last year or so due to moving into the area and I’ve never experienced a doctor surgery who’s receptionist are so rude in all my life!
I rang up to ask if it was possible to get an earlier appointment for a result test that they have the results already for to be given a rude response on how the receptionist reckons my appointment isn’t an emergency and that I can wait 2 weeks for I understand that there are other people needing other appointments but due to the fact my results can’t be given over the phone I’m now having to wait 2 weeks and I’m getting very worried stressed and anxious about it as I do not no what is wrong with me even though they already have the results! We see signs everywhere where they tell us to go to our gp instead of a and e but no wonder people do when they can’t even get an appointment for 2 weeks and if the receptionist is as rude as the one I had on the phone today she could have been polite and a bit understanding but no she made me feel like I was in the wrong for asking communication skills are obviously not something they teach them here!
I strongly think this surgery needs to give it’s receptionist some training in how to actually talk to the patients that are ringing up there was no need for her abruptness that she gave me today as she’s not helped me at all with the worries I have and I will be looking at changing surgery’s for how poorly this one is run I’d rather have my health care in the hands of a surgery that do actually care!!! |

No matter which doctor attended my mum, she was always given great care. Given that she's in her late eighties, they were also happy to visit her at home. They also gave me great support in getting her the social care she needed. |
