When we moved to area chose this practice as slightly larger and potentially had more services to offer.
As time has moved on it has become much harder to get an appointment for even routine things. Checkups for prescriped drugs are up to the patient to remember to book (I was with the practice several years before it dawned on me that I had had no followups! Booking these appointments you need to allow a long time in advance
However the time has come to consider a move away from this practice sadly
On call doctor prescribing 'over the phone" for a possible eye injury
Advice caused more pain
Next day opticain prescriped urgent medication which doctors need to put through their system (I have no problem with a system) and was told by the pharmacy at earliest 6 hours later might been agreed by GP. and then I could ring through to maybe have the items.Usual time is 2 days (The opticain had asked me to return in 2 days to check the eye!)
Sad thing was my husband tried an alterate doctors surgery who would have signed it off within a few minutes if I had been a patient at that surgery. Seems the larger they get the harder it is to provide a ervice.
So sadly I will be strongly considering leaving the practice and would certainly not recommend to others. |

02/09 tried to make an appt @ 14.00hrs, explained to receptionist I'd been to pharmacist and they advised going to doctors. Asked for appt told nothing available as computer system was down ! Ring back in morning @ 08.00hrs, had been 3rd in queue held for 6min to be told this. Receptionist said is that ok, I said not really, to witch she replied you can always go to the Walik-Centre in Norwich!! Feel this young lady needs to go on a course how to communicate with people . Plus checked website page which apparently had already been updated today. To be fare I have previously been dealt with politely and efficiently by reception staff, but this time was an experience hopefully not to be repeated.
