This practice has made its way steadily downhill for the last few years. It is now so poor that it is ranked as third worst in Scotland. Should you wish an appointment of any sort you will need to get past the receptionists. If these non medically qualified personal do not deem an appointment necessary, either in person or by phone, you simply will not get one. Allow a good 10 days for repeat prescriptions to make it from request to your pharmacy. You can easily wait three weeks for an appointment either phone or in person. You cannot leave the practice for another ad the NHS will not allow it. Do not move to the catchment area for this practice, you will regret it |

On my Solicitors advice I submitted a Power of Attorney document for my Gps signature. As I have been a patient at Mintlaw for some 30 years I addressed the form to DR SIM and duly left it at reception for his signature. He has been my GP for a number of years and has been very attentive and considerate to me. The form has duly been returned to me unsigned as a new female Doctor, who I am informed is the senior practitioner decrees that as it is not a medical matter it has nothing to do with them. I contacted my Solicitor who told me that in 30 years of practising he has never come across this before and is astounded that any Doctor would refuse to do this. I feel that the family doctor ethic has been completely eradicated at the new Aden Health Centre. |
