When the Social Worker told us the name of the care company they had engaged to look after Mum I was a bit sceptical. I should not have been. From the very first visit they put us at ease and their care has been outstanding. They are cheerful, friendly and professional. They help Mum with personal care, meals and medication and most importantly provide company and mental stimulation which has been invaluable and made a huge difference to her quality of life. They help out around the home and suggest , and occasionally provide, gadgets and items to make her life easier. They write a diary each visit so we know exactly what has been happening and have a key contact sheet where important messages are left, although they always phone to let us know if there are any problems. They have been coming for around 10 months now and we have not had any issues with them at all. Mum was in and out of hospital/homes for 18 months before we asked for help, I wish we'd done it sooner. The difference they have made not only to Mums life, but to her family's too, is amazing. We don't have to visit every day now unless we want to, we know she is safe, clean and fed so we don't have to worry, and now we have some time for ourselves and our own families and friends too. I cannot praise or thank them enough.
