Grangefield Homecare

I suffer from some serious mental health conditions as well as severe depression & suicidality. I recently stayed at a private Mental Hospital in Hove, and - not wanting to come home to an empty house - I asked if Grangefield's Care At Home service could help. For the first time in my life I was now on my own & could not face going into an empty house on my home. The management came down to Hove to discuss what they could offer me. It was agreed a carer would be waiting for me the moment I arrived back. They were given updated arrival times using my hands-free phone, but what do I get - someone turning up 90 mins after I got back. As I didn't want the hassle of cooking for the Tues, Weds & Thurs evenings I asked for a hot meal to be delivered around 6.30 to 7.00pm. Yet another appalling service. The carer turned up on time with a fully frozen meal. I refused it & sent them away. Grangefield could be good but they need to learn people skills, dealing with vulnerable people & delivering the services they offer. I certainly won't consider ever using them again
