I visited the maternity unit for my 20 week scan expecting everything to be ok as Id not had any issues since my 12 week scan. The sonographer was very friendly and took her time with the scan and made sure to talk us through everything she was checking. On the scan she spotted my cervix was shortening and funnelling and sent us for a walk whilst she contacted the hospital for advice. On return we were told that the hospital would see us straight away and 4 days later I had an emergency cerclage placed. Today I have reached 37 weeks, which I am certain I wouldnt have made it this far if it wasnt for the sonographer being so thorough with her checks. Thank you! |

I have just had cataract surgery and felt that I must say thanks to all that dealt with me from beginning to end. Sympathetic and informative and, although I have no real wish to repeat the process, I can only commend everyone in the Opthalmology department for their kindness and professionalism. Thank you. |

I attended for my 3year breast scan at the mobile service currently at Andover Memorial Hospital but along with two other ladies (one before and one after me) found it really difficult to find as there was no signage anywhere. The radiologists /nurses who were v courteous and kind (fitting one lady in who was v late for her appointment) told me that their usual signage had been removed by the hospital? Why? Please put it back or ensure that there is signage in the car parks and at the entrance and on the back of the scanning trailer so that people on foot can see it. I understand the Breast Scan Unit will be at the hospital until the end of the year so it is worthwhile getting this signage up asap. Thank you. |
