Accident and Emergency was very busy, like I have never seen before. We were there for 14 hours and many were there all night too. Family members mobile phones slowly drained of charge with the unplanned extended use without access to charge. In the morning, one kind nurse charged up a daughters mobile, who had been there all night too. Clearly, this was a over and above and it was not possible to offer it to all of us. Other family members want to be kept up to date, we had to make arrangements for pet care, phone work as we were not in a fit state to work after being up all night. What struck me was that if there were mobile charging lockers, as there are in some shopping centres, next to the free taxi line phone, it would be incredibly helpful. I also would like to say how good it was to have bottled water and biscuits available. It was very helpful. It was such a busy night but we were made as comfortable as possible and got the treatment required, even though the process was incredibly long because of the level of demand. |

Wife was in extreme pain and still had to wait 12 hours and watch people with minor cuts and bruises seen before her. No updates from staff and when you ask they know nothing. Never coming back here again. Shameful place. |

Just wanted to write a positive review about the endoscopy unit. Firstly the lovely volunteers on main reception were very helpful and we coming re directions. Endoscopy unit staff were all great , friendly and reassuring. After procedure welcoming nurses , happy and quick with getting tea / coffee and biscuits. Always cleaning too and keeping unit clean. |
