Apr 18 2023 I would support the other review posted. Also my concern is running out of food. Most medication should be taken with or after meals, & those who are diabetic need food for stabilising glucose levels. From my hospital stay I believe medical ethics especially for Clinicians, needs a comprehensive review. I too was questioning why the CQC hadnt inspected the unit. Im heavily editing my review to comply with the guidelines. The mindfulness groups were excellent & fun. My young grandson loves balloon tennis.

Mar 24 2023 There are three problems. Firstly, there are not enough trained psychiatric nurses. Secondly, there is an overall reliance on untrained HCA staff and thirdly the patient mix in the unit is very broad and results in some unpleasant and difficult patients between patients and staff It is also concerning that the hospital does not currently have Care Quality Approval. why not????

Mar 5 2018 I had pretty much the opposite experience to the previous reviewer - I found that the staff on Mulberry Two tried very hard to make me feel at home, give me all the medication and support that I needed, and to keep me involved with decisions about my care; and they also balanced the safety of others with my own safety very well. Not only that, but I saw them being careful to treat the other inpatients with the same courtesy, restraint and care. The layout and design of the ward also struck me as well thought out. Very impressed, overall! Oh, and the food was nice, too. About the only caveat I should make clear is that I didn't see the entire ward while I was there; for example, I didn't need to do any laundry or to use the bath or showers. I did also see some patients and staff having trouble with parts of the ward being a little too hot or cold - most likely there happened to be some problems with the heating while I was there. Finally I should mention that the grounds are beautiful!
