All care aspects were taken care of. Staff were respectful, kind and considerate, ‘lovely’. I had specific dietary issues and had to have thicker food and drink, the diet was minimal until I requested different foods. The staff were very helpful in ordering different things for me, in my opinion this was over and above my expectations. My family and myself were always greeted with smiles and sometimes humour from your staff. We were all very pleased with my care. Please convey thanks to all on ward one for excellent service! I am delighted everything went so well for your stepfather and that you were made to feel welcome whilst he was in our care. Have a lovely weekend. When cutting long grass at home, sickle slipped and made deep cut on knuckle of LH first finger. Bleeding heavily, I wrapped the wound in clean dressing and was driven by my wife to Berwick Hospital around noon. After details were taken briefly at Minor Injuries Reception, I was seen almost immediately by a Nurse who examined and cleaned the wound, checked operation of tendons and applied butterfly"stitches" to secure skin flap. Having checked my records for anti-tetanus vaccination, I was given advice on ongoing self care of wound, a suppy of rubber gloves to keep dressing dry whilst showering and asked to return if at all worried about progress. I couldn't have wished for better treatment. Original Comment Report...
