My mum has had 3 admissions in the last couple of years and each time the care has been superb. The most recent was for 3 weeks over Christmas time 2017 and the kindness and compassion shown to mum and to us family who visited from much further afield was outstanding. The staff all seemed proud and happy to work there and frequently went the extra mile in all our dealings with them. Telephone enquiries were always dealt with as if they knew mum well and accurately informed us how she was. They were always willing to take time to get her to a phone so I could speak to her myself - which was wonderful when we live too far away to visit as much as we would have liked. Thank you so much to you all for the excellent job you do, especially in the current NHS climate which is so busy and stressful all the time. A special mention must go to the doctor and Ward Sister who apart from everthing else gave particular support at a difficult time.

Sorry this is a bit after the event. However, the help I was given with a finger injury and the follow up care was excellent. I was very impressed with the speedy, professional approach. Before retirement I work with a Newcastle hospital so my high expectations were fully met. It couldn't have been better.
