I visited the pain management clinic after experiencing decades of chronic pain. The staff at the front desk were absolutely lovely. Very kind, very polite. The member of staff who saw me for my appointment seemed to be on another planet. Not a flicker of empathy or support throughout. I was made to feel like I was wasting their time; my presence certainly did not seem welcome. They may be overworked, have problems at home, or just be stressed about something from five minutes before my appointment, I dont know. They shouldnt take it out on patients, though. |

No negatives at all. From the ward to the theatre everything and everybody involved were great. Really genuine nice people. |

I experienced a very warm welcome from the desk staff, who directed me where to go. They were polite and friendly. Upon meeting the staff member who was to be providing me with my pain management help, I immediately got the sense that I was unwelcome - that I was wasting their time. They were visibly irritated about something; I couldnt figure out if it was me, or not. We briefly discussed the various serious health issues that Ive been through. I nearly died earlier this year. I wasnt there for a shoulder to cry on, but I expected at least a flicker of human warmth. Nothing. Zero empathy throughout. I was then told to go, apparently there was nothing they could do - they didnt have to tell me twice. Suffice to say, I wont be coming back! |
