Had trouble breathing coughing and felt as though I was going to collapse. Rather than risking a 45 minute to Taunton, my husband took me to our minehead community hospital. Signing in we were told quite a wait but the receptionist alerted staff of my predicament. They called me straight away. The nurse was wonderful got my breathing under control checked my prescription and I was impressed she knew about every med I took. She returned with the nurse practioner who gave me a thorough check over she prescribed me steroids as I was already on anti biotic. Then she put me on a nebuliser. I cannot fault their attention to me, and I wonder if I had phoned an ambulance at the time how long I would of waited for an ambulance + a 45 minute trip to Musgrove. We so need to keep this wonderful hospital and caring staff open 5* care Original Comment Report...
