Mar 5 2018 I had pretty much the opposite experience to the previous reviewer - I found that the staff on Mulberry Two tried very hard to make me feel at home, give me all the medication and support that I needed, and to keep me involved with decisions about my care; and they also balanced the safety of others with my own safety very well. Not only that, but I saw them being careful to treat the other inpatients with the same courtesy, restraint and care. The layout and design of the ward also struck me as well thought out. Very impressed, overall! Oh, and the food was nice, too. About the only caveat I should make clear is that I didn't see the entire ward while I was there; for example, I didn't need to do any laundry or to use the bath or showers. I did also see some patients and staff having trouble with parts of the ward being a little too hot or cold - most likely there happened to be some problems with the heating while I was there. Finally I should mention that the grounds are beautiful!

Oct 4 2016 My stay in this hospital was completely chaotic, a ward manager who hasn't got the manners to just introduce themself, led a chaotic team of staff many with little empathy, or basic knowledge of prescribed medication. My room was basic but the previous patients clothes were in the wardrobe and down the side of the bed, went to have a bath to find the bathroom filthy clothing everywhere and the bath filled with dirty water, no thanks. Medication time was rushed and chaotic, was distressing to see patients just pacing about asking for help and not getting it. Too many healthcare assistants and not enough qualified staff, please let the fantastic nurse, who yes was strict but kept a orderly ward.

Jul 17 2014 For years there has been an air raid siren that intermittently goes off, no routine or schedule. Latest inconvenience at 03:30, yes that is AM until 04:00 on Tuesday 15 July disturbing my sleep the siren can be heard up to a few miles away! Urban myth is a warning to the local neighbourhood that a mental health has escaped and be on your guard as they will be dangerous. just a look at threads found on the internet. In this day and age your alarm systems should be upgraded to stop waking up the entire community, stop discrimination by the local community and the poor elderly inpatient who will be taken straight back to WII.

Thank you for your comment and I apologise that you and your family have been disturbed recently by the alarms sounding in the grounds of Fulbourn Hospital in the early hours of the morning. They have sounded when a fire alarm-related incident has occurred at our wards at the hospital site. They were designed (historically) to be loud enough to alert the Duty Nursing Officer wherever they are on the hospital site.
